Our Mission is simple – to save lives and protect the health and safety of the public through strategic preparedness.
As threats to our public health increase, the need to be prepared for all types of hazards including natural, biological, chemical, radiological and nuclear events is more important than ever. Being prepared for these threats can save lives and protect the health and safety of the public. SSPI works to protect the workforce of businesses, and assists local, state and federal agencies in the planning of health-related events.

It includes public health interventions that have the greatest potential to prevent, treat, and mitigate the consequences of any threat.
